Barack Hussein Obama II is one of the most admired personalities in the world. He is the present President of the United States of America. Born in August 4th1961, the president's life is the finest example for aspiring politicians. He is the 44th president of USA and the first African American to manage the office. The president initially served as a junior United States Senator from Illinois, from January 2005. In November 2008, he resigned from this designation after he was elected to the prestigious presidency position.
Barack Obama has a fine record of academia. He has graduated from the Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He was elected the president of the Harvard Law Review and further acquired a doctorate in law. Prior to his degree, he worked as community organizer in Chicago. His working profile as a civil rights attorney in Chicago has also helped him to learn many aspects of the subject. Later Obama worked as a lecturer of constitutional law (1992 to 2004) at the University of Chicago Law School. In addition, he also served three terms in the Illinois Senate from the year 1997 to 2004.
In 2000, Obama was not successful in the first bid seat in the U.S.
Obama won the party's nominations as a result of a very close campaign (from 2007) against Hillary Rodham Clinton. It was in the year 2008, where Hillary represented Democratic Party. Obama defeated Republican nominee John McCain in the general election (2008) and was elected the 44th president on January 20, 2009. Barack Obama is also the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
