Do you remember the last debate that happened here in the state of Tennessee last week when Senator John McCain proposed his plan to bailout homeowners by buying their bad mortgages and then said "no more"? Well, it seems that he changed his mind and now it looks like he will be more generous to financial institutions with it being more costly to us.

Politicians And Their Habits
Do you remember the last debate that happened here in the state of Tennessee last week when Senator John McCain proposed his plan to bailout homeowners by buying their bad mortgages and then said "no more"? Well, it seems that he changed his mind and now it looks like he will be more generous to financial institutions with it being more costly to us. Does this really surprise you? Our politicians have done this to us all the time, but usually they will wait until they are in office. If he did this in an attempt to improve his numbers, then I say that he just killed them.
Tennessee is one state that hasn't got a lot of jobs to speak of. You have more towns that are considered retirement towns, and these don't have any job openings that will help the young or the old alike. To have a job in these places is a godsend, and you had better keep it. We can't even change the address on our driving records unless we drive twenty miles either way from our town.

All politicians have at one time or the other told us that they will do something before they get in office, but as soon as they do, they will change their minds. This politician can be from either party or any place in the government. This applies to the senators and congressmen along with the President and most of the top aides. This will happen from state and local officials also. It seems like all people that will run for an office in any branch of the government went to school to learn how to pull strings or the wool over our eyes. In other words, they will lie.

If you do come across a good one, which is few and far between, at first you might think that he or she might be like all the rest, but sometimes we will find out too late they were one of the good ones. The only thing that we can do, as voters, is to be as well informed about the problems of our country. We are the only ones that can really fix the problems by not allowing these people to come into office and do a lackluster job. Go back through time if you will, and ask yourself why some of these politicians got out of the rat race.
