Obama takes office this week and as we all happily say good bye to Bush the mess that awaits Obama is huge. The question is can one man or one man that is running a country with a hand selected administration change things around specifically with the economy? Personally I think he will turn the economy around and do a really good job of it and here is why.

First off much of the mess that has been created is based on fear, while there are lots of real tangible factors in what has created this current economic mess fear has played an even larger part. One of the best stock analysts I have ever known summed investing up in a few simple words, everything is affected and moves because of "fear and greed." That's it two words that control the economy and the stock market in general.

Because of this basic knowledge of what is going on it then only takes a few things to get the masses believing that the economy is going to come to a halt. Unlike the depression there is no issue in first world nations of famine or drought, there is plenty of food and heat, there just isn't plenty of people spending money right now. This lack of spending money, buying cars, houses and going on vacation is what is causing most of the issues and job cuts around the world. So while the media would like to make you think that this current situation is similar to the great depression it just isn't so.

In fact many of us think the media has played a larger part in this mess than the mortgage back security issues in the states. The media especially in the states is so negative it makes me cringe, if you watch a telecast of MSNBC, Fox News or any local nighttime news station there is literally nothing positive. Living in Canada while there is still plenty of negative news it's not all doom and gloom and usually much more factual.

So do I think Obama is going to make a huge difference in the economy, yes! He is bringing in fresh blood and much like JFK he has an ability not only to captivate an audience he really makes you feel like you can believe in yourself and what the future holds. He is coming at a point in time when someone like him was desperately needed, black or white this guy is going to change the world and I believe in so many positive ways! The fact that America has such a dark history when it comes to slavery makes this inauguration so meaningful and something to really celebrate.

So let's all change from being fearful and instead of being greedy let's focus on just being.
