If you follow the financial news and I am guessing more and more people are these days you might have noticed something quite disturbing this morning.

Three major oil companies have posted their third quarter results and the numbers are staggering. First off Exxon mobile the world's largest company posted profits of 14.8 Billion dollars. That's 14.

They say religions are responsible for most of the wars if not all of the wars that have occurred on this planet. Well the middle East is really no different, more complicated than people hating the fact that other people believe in a different god but pretty close.

I write this exactly one day - 22 hours after President Barrack Obama was officially inaugurated as the 44th president of the United States of America. As a Canadian I feel proud of the choices my neighbor to the south has finally made. It has been a long time since I felt anything other than shock or disappointment at the decisions made and I think most Americans understand exactly why.

It's a big topic in the national and international news this week, President Obama wants to enforce a "buy American" provision into his new stimulus package. That sounds reasonable doesn't it, an American leader wants to stimulate his economy by injecting 875 billion more dollars into his economy and for this he is simply asking that certain projects be built and materials supplied from the USA only companies.

Having compatible views and opinions on how to live your lives is an important part of making a relationship work. After all, when you're always on the same page about your lives and the world around you, you don't have too much to argue about in the first place. But for most relationships, that's a lot to ask. With different backgrounds and different basic perspectives on the world, it doesn't often happen that a person's every opinion coincides with his or her partner's.
