Getting into business is never an easy task. You need to consider all aspects of the venture in order to succeed and to surpass existing competitors. And at the same time, you need to deal with the government and their constantly changing policies. These policies may be good for the business or may be bad as well.

In cases when there are legislations passed by the government that would unconstructively affect your business, don't just sit down and take it like it doesn't matter.

When the matter directly concerns us, we get to be passionate and emotional, and in this state, no clear recourse will be achieved. A lot of people have misconceptions about lobbying firms and lobbying in itself as an exercise. They always thought that lobbying is only for the big corporations who want to manipulate the government for their own benefits. In addition, lobbying firms are only after the money and as such would even involve acts of bribery only to show result to their paying clients.

Although we all have heard of the phrase that the government is for the people, but it seems that, we as citizens are actually far from the radar of the government. More so, in introducing new laws that are never really surveyed properly to heed the concerns of people who will be affected by the new law. The government's agenda is supposed to be for the good of its people, but there will always be instances when even the government's action can cause harm to its people.
