Will Premiums Increase Under Obamacare?

One of the main questions with the Obama health plan is: will insurance premiums increase under Obamacare? Unfortunately, it looks like the answer to this question may be yes.

There have already been noises coming from the health care industry that the largest insurers are getting set to raise rates in order to ensure they have enough money to comply with all of the changes of the Obama health care plan.
The main premise of President Barack Obama's health care reform bill was that it would be a form of nationalized health care, a type of insurance program that would be funded by the taxpayers of the country, and overseen by Washington. The idea was that everyone would be able to get the care they need, no matter what.

While these ideas that were to be part of a healthcare reform bill are meant with the best of intentions, both sides of the aisle agree that the plan is quite flawed.
If you are one of the many who have found yourself scratching your head over the new health care reform that has been put into place this year, you are certainly not alone. One of the main issues that people have been left questioning is whether or not employers are required to offer health insurance.

The simple answer to this question is no.
The tea party movement has been all about bringing the true cost of the new health care reform to light, and informing people on who will really end up paying for the bill. As you may have guessed, this type of change certainly does not come without a hefty price. In fact, it is estimated that the cost of this plan will amount to about $940 billion in the first ten years alone.

32 Million People Uninsured: What Now?

President Obama took on a major issue to help develop a new health care system that would benefit the people in this country who need care the most. While his plan for nationalized health care has gained a great deal of criticism from the general public, Republicans, and even a large number of people in his own party, the truth is, most people are still unclear on what all the terms of the new health care law will mean.

What is the Repeal Pledge?

Ever since Congress and the current administration drafted and passed the new health care program, people have been demanding answers and asking for it to be repealed. Even though there are some problems with health care on the whole, most people believe that nationalized health care is not the answer.

Because of these feelings, the health care activist community has drafted the Repeal Pledge that demands lawmakers take responsibility for their actions.

Who is the International Women's Voice?

The International Women's Voice is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protecting human rights and the rights of women all over the world. The members of this organization denounce and stand up against those who abuse their power to harm the rights of others. The International Women's Voice is not government based, but does take part in programs that are established to help women better their political and economic futures for the improvement of society as a whole, such as taking part in the debate over nationalized health care.
Pre-existing conditions are a serious, complex matter. Americans who have been diagnosed with chronic disease or cancer are the consumers we'd expect to face the greatest problems in the health insurance market due to the high costs of their treatments.

Proponents of ObamaCare celebrate the great humanitarian effort to offer better, more reasonable rates to people with pre-existing conditions and to make health insurance more affordable in general to uninsured Americans.
So often, there's a misconception that opponents of ObamaCare don't have any alternative ideas. I can't count how many times I've heard people (on both ends of the political spectrum) say, "But we needed reform!"

We needed reform in March, when ObamaCare was passed. We really needed reform long before that. But truth be told, we still need reform today! What we need is a simplification of the system.
Florida has become the latest state to file a lawsuit contesting the new laws that come along with the health care bill. Following on the heels of a ruling made by Judge Henry Hudson in the State of Virginia v. Sebelius, in favor of the state, Florida has now filed suit against the Department of Health and Human Services.

The Florida case is similar in nature to the Virginia case, in which both center on the mandate to purchase insurance.
Many Obamacare supporters believe that while opponents of the new health care reform are quick to judge the plan and denounce it, they do not have any ideas to better the issue. Both sides of the reform believe it is needed, yet it is difficult to come to an effective compromise.

When the nationalized health care plan was passed in March, both sides of the aisle agreed that reform was necessary.
Anyone who has been denied insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition knows just how devastating and frightening the experience can be. In many cases, patients are left with the issue of how to pay for care for their condition, in addition to affording other household expenses.

This issue is precisely the platform that Obamacare was based upon.
With the new health care reform package came many new laws that businesses of all types must adhere to. While these laws were designed to help the American people, as a whole, many businesses are finding that they are put in a difficult situation when it comes to benefit packages.

Because of this issue, several large businesses and unions have applied for, and obtained, waivers to skirt the constraints of the new Obamacare program.
The House's consideration of HR 3082 has lead the organization, Independent Women's Voice, to call upon the Senate to stop, listen to the outcry from the American public, and vote down the resolution. Following the November 2010 elections, the American people made their opinions of the new healthcare law quite clear, and they want the legislation stopped.
Once the newly elected lawmakers are sworn into office in early 2011, many states will shift their position on health care lawsuits, and join the growing number of states who have already filed or plan to file suit against the reform package.

The fight to repeal Obamacare has become a priority for states for a number of reasons. One of these reasons is because of Medicaid Expansion.
Ever since the Obama administration passed the new health care reform package, many people have been very upset about the potential power the new program gives government. Because of these issues, along with the mandates that require people to obtain insurance coverage, several states have taken a stance and have decided to file suit against the United States government.
It should come as no surprise that the Debt Commission chairmen recommended the public option for health care insurance be double checked. While this is being done in an effort to solve the current budgetary problems, the timing may not be the best, following the midterm elections.

Former White House Chief of Staff Bowles, and former Senator Simpson put together a report that recommended Congress establish a target for the total cost of a federal health care plan after the year 2020, and that officials review the costs every two years in order to keep the spending for the plan within the confines of the gross domestic product, plus one percent.
Ever since the passage of the health care reform bill, Americans have been outraged and have been calling for lawmakers to repeal Obamacare, as the package has become known. In an effort to get the word out clearly and concisely, there have been numerous websites, petitions, and now letter writing campaigns to help the American public effectively contact their elected officials to have their voices heard.
In early January of 2011, the State of Oklahoma decided to join the fight against Obamacare and join the more than twenty other states in the Florida lawsuit filing as plaintiff against the new regulations. Prior to this time, the former governor of the state was against efforts to sue the federal government and had blocked all attempts made by the Attorney General.
The constitutionality of Obama healthcare reform, the mandates that go along with it, and how the commerce clause applies to these new laws have been at the center of the debate since the plan was first introduced. Many people argue that government is overstepping its boundaries, and is becoming too powerful in trying to rule how Americans acquire healthcare coverage.
